The Foundation chose to focus on Education as one of its main areas as it is a fundamental building block in any community. Free education is one of the most effective ways to create zero illiteracy yet not all schools are equipped to handle the demands of the 21st century. We looked at various ways we could help schools become a better place for children in Malaysia, and began with vernacular schools like Tamil Schools and Chinese Schools, to improve the standards and facilities in schools, classrooms and the learning process. 

We also believe education is the key to a better life. It gives independence, empowerment and opportunity to those who dare to achieve. And we believe that everyone who is deserving but is in need of financial aid must be given a helping hand to pursue their dreams. We started the GAB Foundation’s Scholarship Scheme to do just this so students, who are enrolled or have yet to enrol for their certificate, diploma or undergraduate studies may apply. Our scholarships are free from bonds or obligations on students.
